ERSKINE has been caring for Veterans for over 100 years. Our four purpose built Care Homes provide quality care of the elderly in a homely environment. We currently have an opportunity for the following in the Erskine Home, Bishopton:MODERN APPRENTICE CHEF37.5 HOURS PER WEEK – INCLUDING WEEKEND WORK(2 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT)16 – 19 YEARS OLD (PRIOR TO 31 DECEMBER 2020)SALARY £14,101 PER ANNUMIn your role as a Modern Apprentice Chef, you will work with the Catering Team, within the Erskine Home, learning about maintaining food safety in a kitchen environment, preparing, cooking and finishing food dishes. You will be supported by an experienced member of staff as well as receive valuable on-the-job training to compliment your learning as you complete your Modern Apprenticeship. At times you will travel to our Erskine Glasgow Home (Anniesland) where you will receive further training from the Glasgow Catering Team.National 4 - 5s (including English), or equivalent are essential for this role. Knowledge of Microsoft Office would be advantageous.
