Job Description

As Electrical Design Engineer you will provide electrical engineering solutions and through life engineering support to a range of projects and services around the world.Client DetailsOur client manufacturers some of the UKs most well known brands and they pride themselves on innovation and customer satisfaction.Description

  • Your work can vary from new project/product designs to meet client or internal specifications, to supporting an existing clients request to upgrade or change equipment in the field or resolving time-critical technical issues from operational systems.
  • We will also look to you to produce and review panel schematics and fabrication drawings for DC HV/LV systems and design switchgear electrical AC/DC power systems for submersibles and SAT systems.
  • You will play a key role in the specification and selection of internal/external cables, penetrators, connectors and different battery and BMS technologies.
  • You will ensure compliance with relevant design codes and liaise with the droughting and production teams to electrical engineering guidance throughout a products lifecycle.
Profile
  • Qualified in an Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering discipline and have previous experience in an appropriate engineering field.
  • You should also have sound knowledge of general engineering principles and strong electrical engineering skills.
  • You will be skilled in generating design calculations, be fully familiar with Microsoft office suite and competent in the use of engineering design software tools / CAD packages.
  • Ideally, you should also be familiar with Autodesk AutoCAD electrical and international Quality & Safety standards (e.g IDO 9001).
