Senior Software Developer hybrid working options Bristol £60,000 - £85,000 React.js Node.js Free childcareAre you motivated to improve the welfare and sports participation of children in the UKLooking for an opportunity to grow to technical leadership/director levelThe South Wests leading sports coaching and childcare provider are looking for a senior software developer as they continue to pursue their ambitions to become the UKs leading provider. Youll be developing the existing systems together with the designand development of new ground-breaking solutions as part of a digital transformation programme that will include a booking app, a tablet-based activity registration system and the long term creation of a sister company that will offer a range of tailoredversions of the system to the wider UK market and beyond.The business serve over 5000 customers/parents and approaching 10,000 children in educational and sporting settings across the region. The impressive growth of the business over the past decade has been underpinned by a vast and ongoing investment in thetechnology that services the business and its growing customer base.As the senior software developer youll be continuing the evolution and build of various bespoke software systems that contribute to enhancing physical education and participation of school children along with safeguarding and planting the long-term seedsfor healthy and happy lives into adulthood.Essential technical skills include:

  • React.js
  • Node.js
  • JavaScript
  • MongoDB or similar
  • Source Control (Git)
  • Knowledge of third-party integrations e.g. Stripe/SagePay/Xero
Wider tech stack youll work with:
  • Typescript
  • Remix.js
  • CSS
  • Express.js
  • Cloudflare
  • DigitalOcean
As the senior software developer, youll work closely with a current digital team of three, with scope to expand the web development team in the future. Youll also have clear routes of progression and growth into CTO/Technical Director is very achievable.As part of the Senior Leadership team, you will be the technical design authority for the web apps, along with being invited to share ideas, suggestions and contribute to "big picture" thinking.Youll be joining a business that has the potential to double in size over the next few years so youll be an enthusiastic, and creative developer with a passion for technology who wants to build and evolve systems as the business grows.Benefits package breakdown:
