Job Description

Role: Personal Development CoachLocation: East Riding of YorkshirePay: £16 - £18 per hour including holiday pay, dependent on skills and experienceDuration: 5 days per week, TemporaryHave you ever considered a career in supporting students with personal development so they can go onto successful careers after collegeWe are working with a FE college who are looking for a Personal Development Coach on a temporary basis to start January 2023. If you have experience in employability, Citizenship of PSHE Then we would like to hear from you.What the role of a Personal Development Coach will involve

  • To contribute to the planning and delivery of personal, social, health and economic sessions to develop student knowledge, skills in preparation for employment and citizenship.
  • To carry out 1-1 reviews and interventions for an identified caseload of students to ensure remain on target and overcome any barriers to achieve aspirations.
  • To support the monitoring of attendance and punctuality and implement strategies to improve attendance and punctuality.
  • To support learners with their literacy and numeracy
  • To create, monitor and review SMART targets
  • To manage challenging behaviour, where necessary
  • To maintain accurate records of learners progress
What the Personal Development Coach will need:
  • English and Maths at grade A-C or above
  • Level 3 in appropriate qualification
  • Previous pastoral experience would be beneficial
  • Previous experience in an education setting
  • DBS child and adult workforce on the update service (we can apply for this on your behalf)
  • A good knowledge of Safeguarding (we can offer free online training)
