Job Description

SERVICE DESK MANAGERBISHOPS STORTFORDUP TO £50,000THE OPPORTUNITY:A new opportunity has arisen for a market leading IT services provider based in the heart of Hertfordshire. The company has been successfully running for over 20 years, and now due to growth are looking to expand the team with an experienced Service Desk Manager.As the Service Desk Manager, you will be responsible for the management and ongoing support of the existing IT support team. You will be key to supporting the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line teams to ensure that the company maintains its exceptional levels of customer services at all times.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and oversee escalations right up to 3rd line and through to completion
  • Help and support the Incident and Change engineers provide an exemplary level of customer service to clients
  • Hold weekly 1-1s with IT engineers to ensure they are supported
  • Identify any skill gaps and arrange regular training for IT engineers
  • Update and maintain any necessary procedural documentation/guides
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers/companies if multi-vendor issues arise
  • Facilitate and oversee meetings between senior engineers and vendors/3rd parties to ensure a satisfactory fault resolution for clients
  • Arrange and schedule any site visits as and when required
  • Oversee the handover-to-service process from Project Delivery to Service Delivery
  • ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
  • Experience working in a Managed Services environment
  • Proven experience working on a busy IT Support Service Desk
  • Experience managing and leading a Service Desk
