Reed Engineering are proud to announce we are looking for several Production Technicians on a 3 month Contract basis for a client of ours that is a market leader in LED and Laser technology. These positions have come about due to organic growth within thebusiness.The Production Technician is responsible for, but not limited to: - Carrying out assembly tasks to the specified quality and build-time standards Following all health and safety and anti-static regulations Keeping their work area clean and tidy Operating Test Production equipment Hand soldering of wires and components to PCBs Attending and participating in any production progress meetings as requested Taking part in continuous improvement activities as directedThe skills required for this role are as follows: - Use soldering irons in respect of electronic assembly Use of glues in a production environment Use of typical production test equipment Able to understand and follow detailed work instructions Able to use standard tools associated with light electro-mechanical assembly Capable of working as part of a team Excellent attention to detail Excellent hand-eye coordination Good communication skills, verbal and writtenThe required skills for this role are as follows: - Ability to solder to a good standard Verifiable experience of electro-mechanical assembly work Operate effectively in a team environment Follow instructions and guidance from the production management team or other senior employeesApplicants must require a full licence and a mode of transport to get to the site.If this position is of interest, and you wish to apply, please submit your CV directly.
