Job Description

Web Developer - Bishops Stortford - 2 days wfh + 3 days office-based - £30k - £40kWeb Developer (Python) Hybrid working.You will be joining an e-commerce business that has had great successes in the last 2 years. They are now heavily investing in their digital transformation.Maybe you are a graduate with an IT, Business or a Computer Science degree or a web developer looking to take ownership of bigger more varied projects You dont have to have E-commerce just apassion for web systems and platforms. In a very hands-on role,you will be given the opportunity to:-

  • Improve usability
  • Deliver enhancements and improvements
  • Drive a better online experience for our customers
  • Contribute to the digital transformation of the business
You will be responsible for:-
  • Managing feeds, partners and plug-ins: using Google Tag Manager to deploy and support systems such as live chat, cart recovery, pixel tracking, audience tracking, usability tests
  • Deploying and monitoring A/B tests:working with specialist tools such as Hotjar, AB Tasty, Session Cam to improve our web performance, conversion rate and customer experience
  • Data and SQL:You must be familiar with ETL techniques, be able to use SQL server or a similar RDMBS.
  • Web platform support:using customer feedback and experience reviews to investigate, identify and fix technical issues with our site in conjunction with our long-term development partners
  • Support the deployment of digital marketing campaigns:including affiliate programmes, technical SEO, display campaigns, retargeting, key online promotional events
Skills needed:-
  • Python knowledge is essential
  • Technically minded with a good understanding of HTML and JavaScript. Experience of other scripting languages is a bonus
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritising
  • A good written and verbal communicator with a natural desire to want to fix and improve things
  • Ability to manage work using MS Office tools including Excel and Access
