Delivery Drivers (7.5T & 18T drivers)Heavy Goods Vehicle / HGV - Large Goods Vehicle / LGVMonday to Friday shifts 5 Day week weekend work available 7.5T driver hourly rate £12.90 18T driver hourly £13.90Driver Night (18T Evening/Night 4 on 4 off Weekend work will be involved)18T evening/night 4 on 4 off rota hourly rate £16.50Birstall Leeds, West YorkshireOur client has been operating for over 15 years and offers a refrigerated courier service providing refrigerated transport of food and pharmaceuticals across the UK and into Europe.This is a 24 hour refrigerated courier service with their chilled couriers meeting top industry standards & deliveries throughout the UK.They are expert chilled frozen food/pharma couriers committed to providing speedy deliveries in fully equipped refrigerated vehicles.You can trust their refrigerated couriers to deliver samples and pallets to any UK or European destination with their reliable chilled couriers having the capacity to handle loads of any sizeDue to winning new business, the team now have fantastic opportunities for Drivers (7.5 Tonne and 18 Tonne) to join the team from their depot in Birstall.What they can offer you:For the last 10 years, they have committed themselves to delivering an exceptional refrigerated delivery service.With an ever-increasing list of satisfied clients (including Starbucks, Sainsbury’s, M&S and Nando’s) their expanding delivery network is growing from strength to strength.By using their refrigerated courier services, you can benefit from both consolidation (many collections to single delivery location) and distribution (single collection to multiple delivery locations).About the roleBecause of the nature of our products, this position will involve manual handling and heavy lifting.Please also note that due to insurance purposes the successful candidate would need to be 25 years or over with a Full Driving License and at least 18 months driving experience (We will accept up to 6 points on your license, but no DD, DG, TT, DR,CD, IN endorsements)Duties:

• Loading and unloading stock on to the vans

• Between 10-20 drops per day
• Vehicle Maintenance
• Checking the Route
• Delivery paperwork completion on PDAs

• Delivering stock and ensuring all deliveries of goods are accurately checked in against order and delivery notes
• Loading goods into vehicles

Benefits:

• Starting pay will be £11.10 per hour day rate for 3.5 tonne with a 6 months’ probation period
• Starting pay will be £12.90 per hour day rate for 7.5 tonne with a 6 months’ probation period
• Starting pay will be £13.90 per hour day rate for 18 tonne with a 6 months’ probation period
• Starting pay will be £16.50 per hour night rate for 18 tonne Night 4 on 4 off with a 6 months’ probation period
• 28 days holiday including Bank holidays (Bank holidays worked are paid at time and half).

About you

• Previous driving experience
• Good time keeping
• Flexible when needed
• Full UK Driving Licence
• As this is a physically demanding role which requires regular lifting as part of the daily role, you will follow the required manual handling procedure
• A positive and pro-active attitude are key!
