SEMH TeacherAre you an SEMH Teacher looking for a new challenge in a school in south Birmingham with students that are willing to learn

A SEMHteacher who is caring, resilient, and determined to offer students every chance to overcome educational obstacles is the ideal candidate to work in a SEMH context. This great SEMH school is looking for a like-minded SEMH teacher to join the team. Theschool has outstanding leadership and a holistic approach. However, this school is willing to consider a trained teacher from another subject area as there are already several experienced teachers at the school who can teach a range of courses. Ideally, youwill teach science, maths, English, or humanities.With the assistance of an experienced Teaching assistant and a 1-2-1 pastoral care team, you will be a SEMH Teacher who will be working with classes of no more than ten KS3 or KS4 students who have social, emotional, or mental health problems. This position does notsuit ECTs and requires a teacher with QTS or QTS.The Role:
  • Educating small groups of studentsthat require SEMH support.
  • Planning and delivering classes that challenge, engage, and motivate students who have encountered educational obstacles.
  • Using a skilled group of TAs and mentors to see that the needs of the students are satisfied.
  • Planning and developing the curriculum in cooperation with the middle leadership.
  • Teaching on one of the following is ideal: English, Math, Science, or Humanities.
