Excellent opportunity working from 3pm- 7pm Monday to Friday in the heart of Birmingham. This is a long term role joining a world-leading manufacturing facility with free parking and good local amenities.As a dedicated Production Operative, you would be responsible for doing much of the material prep for the plastic products produced on-site. This involves working with lamination machinery and a range of hand-held devices to help measure and cut/clip plastictemplates to the correct specification. This is a part-time role and therefore people seeking a full week /weekend only roles need not apply.As such, we would require people that have some proven experience as a Production Operative / Quality Inspector / factory assistant, with a good eye for detail and ability to pick up processes quickly.Duties of the successful part-time operative will include;- Loading rolls of reflective and blanks onto laminating machines- Unloading plates from conveyor and packaging for next stage- Quality control checks at agreed stages of manufacturing- Completion of paperwork and recording results of production on paperwork and computer system- Loading of substrates into press for removal of edges- Quality control checks at agreed stages of productionYour hours of work are part time, working 1500-1900 but if your circumstances change in the future then longer working days may become available for the right person.Rate of pay:- £9.00 per hourIdeal characteristics for the part time factory operative include;- Good team-working abilities- Strong attention to detail- Ability to use basic cutting tools and measuring equipment- Some background in basic machine minding- Good level of English for the purpose of completing paperwork- Hard-working and reliable.If you are interested in applying for our part-time production operative role, please click to apply or email.
