Job Description

VIP are looking for an experienced New Business Development candidate to help promote a brand new and exciting product to local authorities, councils, care homes, healthcare professionals and other local businesses.A competitive starting salary of £32,500 rising to £35,000 after successful completion of probationary period will be offered.The successful candidate will adopt a proactive approach in order to identify and generate new business opportunities, build strong business partnerships and close sales/ win tenders.Please note this role will be a mixture of based in the office and travelling to visit client’s onsite. Initially targeting clients in Midlands’s area, however travel around the UK may be required.The successful candidate will be required to: -

  • Cold call and prospect for sources of new business in to large organisations
  • Generate referral based leads
  • Research companies to target, identifying key decision makers
  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities, care homes, charities, healthcare professionals and other local businesses
  • Deliver presentations and CPD’s to small and large groups
  • Complete tenders in order to secure new business
  • The ideal candidate will have: -
  • Full driving licence (essential)
  • Please note you will need to be able to pass a DBS check due to the nature of some of the clients you may have contact with
  • Experience with tendering process and framework contracts
  • Previous successful experience in a new business role
  • Previous experience selling in to councils, charities, local authorities, NHS etc. would be advantageous
  • Previous experience with social services contracts and/or adaptations (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience with bathrooms and/or disability equipment (desirable but not essential)
  • Well-presented appearance
  • Good IT skills
