Job Description

Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be recruiting for this brilliant Group Financial Controller position based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial management, including budgeting, forecasting,financial reporting, and compliance. You will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategy, improve processes, and ensure the companys financial health.Key ResponsibilitiesFor this Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Oversight of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Manage a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
Key RequirementsThe successful candidate for this Group Financial Controller position will possess the following:
  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • relevant degree in Accountancy, Business or Economics etc.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
