As a community fundraiser with us you will not be tied to a financial target, our focus is on developing incredible and long lasting relationshipswith our supporters. Success in your role will enable our colleagues to campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today. That really is making a difference!Be prepared to be your own boss: This is a home working role; you absolutely must be a self starter and incredibly motivated. Prepare for a fast-paced, creative, and diverse environment where you will need to be available, resourceful and inspiring every dayto give your supporters the best possible experience of raising incredible amounts. Exceptional organisational and timekeeping skills are a must.No two conversations will ever be the same: You will need to be an excellent communicator and confident in talking to supporters over the phone and via virtual channels such as zoom. Virtual and in person presentations to businesses and various groups and associationsare a regular occurrence, we will teach you what to say but confidence in presenting is definitely required. You will be the face of their Alzheimers Society for those fundraising in your region, you will be their biggest cheerleader, their data bank andtheir sounding board. Being a people person goes without saying.A fabulous team to support you: Our team come from all backgrounds and have a wealth of experience and skill to support you. We have bankers and teachers who chose a job change working alongside graduates, previous experience as a fundraiser is not essential,although obviously it will help enormously. What is essential is the need to be a team player who will support colleagues when deadlines press and who knows when to ask for help themselves. In our team, help will always be there. We work in a win-lose-learnculture, where we learn fast but accept that within a creative innovative and successful environment things will sometimes go wrong, but we learn from them.The most incredible volunteers who really make the whole thing work:We could not do the work we do without our unpaid and incredible army of volunteers. Whilst it would be great that you have experience of managing or recruiting volunteers, we can teach you to do that if you havent.
