This is an international group with activities across the end-to-end supply chain and a very broad mix of clients that include some of the worlds largest manufacturing businesses. It takes a pride in into positive, people-first working culture which has been a clear success factor for its success in a competitive busines sector.In this key position you will manage a number of operations across various territories in the UK and western Europe. This is a true General Management position with full accountability for the P&L of the division - sales, profit, operating costs etc.The focus of the role is around striking a balance between commercial success and operational excellence. Much of the operation is delivered through sub-contracted operations, so your ability to work with suppliers and manage a complex infrastructure iscritical.Likely your background will be in third-party logistics as a Business Unit Director. Alternatively, you may have a background working for a manufacturing business in a logistics capacity and wish to move into a more commercial arena.
