Leasehold and Commercial Services OfficerBirmingham, Hybrid & Flexible Working£26,986 - £31,776Hours: 37Work pattern: Monday to FridayDo you want to work for an organisation that supports work life balance If so, our client may have the opportunity you have been looking for.You will be part of a team of 6 Leasehold and Commercial Officers who provide services to approximately 3,500 leaseholders and shared owners. These are additional positions in a team that is expanding due taking on a broader remit of services and redesigningtheir customer service model.The team manage a range of services including administration and advice around leaseholder sales and lease extensions, lease variations, permissions, enforcement of lease obligations and day to day enquiries from customers.The role is key in the provision of service charge estimates and accounts to leaseholder and shared owners, management of communal areas and services to them. You will ensure high quality value for money service provision.The team will lead on customer liaison with leaseholder groups and individual customers enquiries.You will need strong people and communication skills as you work with customers and colleagues in other teams and directorates.You will need strong literacy and verbal reasoning skills so that you are able to decipher, understand and advise on responsibilities within a wide range of leases. You will also require strong numeracy skills so as to interrogate service charge expenditureand costs passed on to leaseholders.It would be desirable but not essential that you have experience of working with leaseholders and management of leaseholder service charges. Should the preferred candidate have the skills we require without the desirable experience then full training willbe provided.The role and the team are hybrid working between home and Citizens head office in Birmingham Business Park, B37 7YNThey manage leasehold properties across a wider geography including Coventry, Solihull, Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Worcester and Hereford. Each officer will manage a patch of properties. Some travel will be required to meet with leaseholders and manage leaseholdand shared ownership housing schemes and to meet with the team and other colleagues.
