Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Manager to lead two functional teams in an evolving data environment. This role is critical to the wider organisation and continues to develop and grow in parallel with our continued business growthand expansion. The role will report directl y into the Commercial Director. The ideal candidate will have suitable management experience within a commercial capacity, including management of functional teams and leaders. Ideally, the candidate will have acommercial, analytical, and data management background, with experience of using various ERP systems including skills in SQL and VBA coding.Automotive experience is desirable, but not essential.Key responsibilities and duties - daily tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Overall responsibility for the Data Management teams
  • Responsibility for business-critical Master Product Data feeding our UK Distribution Centres and stores
  • Driving the expansion, quality, and accuracy of the Master Product Data
  • Control and governance of the Master Product Data including stakeholder and supplier management both internally and externally
  • Responsibility for maintenance of the AAG in-house commercial conduit solution, linking product data and key commercial functions and reports, with delivery of plan to migrate away from the legacy system [VDT]
  • Utilisation of the AAG strategic MDM system PIM [Informatica]
  • Reengineering of processes to ensure that our PIM system becomes our single point of entry and feeds our ERP systems
  • Working in parallel with the AAG Cataloguing team including ongoing data maintenance of our Private Label Brands
  • Supporting teams and departments with day-to-day business activities plus significant strategic projects
  • Business systems support for ERP management
  • Reporting on business KPI’s to Commercial Director
  • Identifying opportunities for streamlining processes
Required Skills

  • Proficient with MS Office i.e., Excel, PowerPoint

  • ERP knowledge of MAM or K8 would be preferable
