* Onsite parking* Flexible working* Interim - part time hoursAs the Interim Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective financial management and reporting for the Multi Academy Trust. Your key responsibilities will include:* Managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the MAT.* Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, financial reports, and budgets.* Collaborating with budget holders and senior leaders to provide financial guidance and support.* Monitoring and analysing financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations to enhance financial efficiency.* Conducting variance analysis, investigating any discrepancies, and reporting findings to the Finance Director.* Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and supporting the external audit process.* Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.* Supporting the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.* Providing financial advice and training to staff members across the MAT, promoting financial awareness and best practices.* Assisting with ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.What you need to offer:* A recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or significant progress towards completion.* Proven experience working as a Management Accountant, preferably within the education sector or a similar complex organization.* In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices, budgeting, and management reporting.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present findings to non-financial stakeholders.* Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.* A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.What on offer:* Government Pension Scheme * Flexible working * Free parking onsite* Provide access to wellbeing counselling free expert and confidential advice, lifestyle benefits* Salary : £30,000-£35,000
