Job Description

Location: Sunderland SR3, Derry BT48 or Skipton BD23 - MUST live within a 1 hour commute from one of the locations. Although the role is working from home you need to be able to go into the office if required.We are moving our Yorkshire office location from Crossflatts to Skipton later in the year, which means you will be based initially in Crossflatts, BD16 and your office location will change to Skipton, BD23 later this year.Salary - £21,714-£22,857depending on experience plus chance to earn quarterly bonus upto £450/quarter.Hours - You need to be flexible to work between 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays 9am-1pm and the open Sundays at month end.Start date - 6th SeptemberTraining - You will join a virtual academy and start on a 12 week learning journey, all equipment will be provided for you.The role:The Customer Assistancerole will see you supporting mortgage customers who are in arrears and managing them through the process, exploring all viable options and providing solutions to support customers through their journey. You will have meaningful conversationswith arrears customers and 3 rd parties, providing an effective and efficient service.Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and maintain inbound and outbound contact with customers and implement appropriate forbearance solutions
  • Identify customers who would benefit from receiving debt advice.
  • liaise with third parties and internal stakeholders to agree the most effective course of action to help customers
  • Ensure processes are followed and decision making is appropriate to the customer
  • Provide feedback and coaching, training on tasks to peers, ensure any changes are made aware to peers.
  • Support peers and team initiatives to make improvements and better ways of workingwe love to hear new ideas!
Skills required:
  • Knowledge of debt advice and third-party support is ideal but not essential
  • Experience within customer service
  • A keen eye for detail and care in delivering quality
  • Flexibility and desire to support your peers as well as our customers
  • Ability to follow processes but question if you think something isnt quite rightAbility to drive your own performance and manage your work
