You will be learning about new and innovative technologies that will improve the way we work at Thames Water for years to come. This is a great opportunity to learn the essentialskills that are already in high demand across the industry and will set you on the path to your future career.You will be working alongside an experienced technician for the duration of your programme and will receive ongoing support from your dedicated mentor on site, line manager and engagement partner who will guide you and help develop your experience to excelwithin your career at Thames Water.As an Instrumentation automation and control (ICA) Apprentice youll be helping to control all the instruments and systems we have on our sites. Youll be working on the technology which monitors and controls all aspects of Thames Waters water and wastewaterprocesses, and how theyre performing across the network.During the apprenticeship youll become qualified to carry out planned preventative and general maintenance of equipment, modifying and rewiring, testing, and inspecting, condition-based monitoringand fault finding within our systems.You will complete the Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship StandardICA Pathway. Included in the programme you will also complete the Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Engineering. We work with Basingstoke College and you willbe expected to attend the campus in Basingstoke on fortnightly basis with the alternate week being virtual delivery, you may also be expected to attend college on block release, we will support your attendance by paying for your accommodation and travel expensesin line with our business expense policy.Were looking for you to:The GCSE requirements for our positions area minimum of two GCSEsat grade 4 or above (A-C), in Maths and English or functional skills level 2 in Maths and English. Dontworry if you dont have your grades yet, if you aredue to sit your exams thisyear,we still want to hear from youifyour predicted grades meet our requirements.
