SOFTWARE DEVELOPERDue to continued growth our successful and dynamic client based in the West Midlands is now recruiting for a full time versatile and technically minded Junior Software Developer to work as part of a small team developing new and enhancing existing products while using the latest technologies. As well as working autonomously on smaller projects ensuring that business requirements are understood and met.With over 14 years’ experience this established business has an enviable national reputation within the specialist field of online insurance. This has been achieved by providing an excellent level of service to their extensive client base and through the increasingly competitive and specialist insurance products marketplace.The successful Software Developer will need to be a strong communicator, as this role is pivotal to the software development of the business. Ideally, your core skills will include C#, MVC and SQL Server but while web and database skills are important, the ability to work in a team environment and an eagerness to learn are paramount within the expanding Company.The duties consist of, but are not limited to:· Analyse software requirements· Identify risks, benefits, and impacts of possible implementation options· Design with clarity scalability and reliability in mind· Be aware of the product release timeline, and complete your commitments in good time· Write tests for your code in line with requirements· To contribute across the full Software Development Lifecycle· Work effectively as part of a team and autonomously· Communicate/document all software solutions· Support and maintain existing productsPersonal and technical attributes:- Proven experience developing in C#- Good understanding and knowledge of SQL Server- Excellent communication skills- Knowledge of JavaScript/CSS and associated frameworks- Take on projects and report to the Board on progressDesirable but Not Essential - Degree in Computer Science or similar subject- E Commerce website developmentOur client is offering a highly competitive salary, benefits package as well as the chance to do some work from home.
