Job Description

Are you a numbers-driven professional with a passion for strategic financial management Look no further! We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic Management Accountant to join a fast-paced Finance Team on behalf of a Higher Education Organisationin the West Midlands.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, performance monitoring, and cost control measures to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to provide key insights into the organisations financial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor financial KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Perform variance analysis, identifying trends, and recommending appropriate actions to optimise profitability.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models and scenarios for evaluating investment opportunities and supporting long-term planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Provide insightful recommendations and guidance to senior management based on thorough financial analysis and market trends.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
  • Continuously stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting regulations to drive process improvements and maintain financial accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • A full Accountancy qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role, ideally within [industry/sector].
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
  • Proficient in using financial software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
