IT Support EngineerWolverhampton (Office-based position)£30,000 - £35,000Applause IT are seeking a committed and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join a small team of dedicated individuals working for a market leader of quality bathroom furniture. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a small and dedicated team, basedin the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Wolverhampton. You will be working to support the IT functionality within the business requirements.The successful IT Support Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the hardware, software, servers and network infrastructure. Your duties will include the management of contact with external support companies and providing documentation of new development.You will also be required to provision end user training and technical support, set up email and call forwarding and create documentation upon request. The IT Systems Administrator should be able to work well both independently and in a team environment, asthe role will require you to support fellow team members, and also be the sole worker on certain tasks.IT Support Engineer Responsibilities:- Upkeep and maintenance of network and servers- Ensuring data quality and maintenance- Setting up new users- Creating basic software specifications- Establishing hardware standards and replacement intervals- Managing contact with external support companies- Provisioning end user training and technical support- Generating reports and SQL scripts as needed- Providing general IT support- Documenting new developments- Creating requested documentation- Setting up email and call forwarding- Supporting team membersEssential Skills/Experience Required:- Strong knowledge and experience in PC hardware- Familiarity with Windows 7/10 and Server 2012- Experience with DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V- Microsoft domain administration and Active Directory knowledge- Understanding of computer and network security- Knowledge of virtualization technologies- Experience with mobile devices (iOS/Android)- Familiarity with VPNs and firewalls- Proficiency in software installation and setup- Extensive networking knowledge, including wireless networks- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies- Proficiency in Microsoft Office- SQL knowledge for data manipulation and analysis- Strong work ethic and dedicationBeneficial Skills/Experience:- Experience with ERP (End to End), MRP, CRM, and BI systems- Manufacturing experience- Knowledge of Linux and PowerShell- Understanding of finance and accounts processes- Familiarity with payroll/time and attendance systems- Programming and scripting skills- Experience with SQL ServerIT Support EngineerWolverhampton (Office-based position)£30,000 - £35,000
