HR OfficerPermanentBilstonHours: Monday to Thursday 08.30am till 4.45pm, Fridays 08.30am till 3.30pmSalary: £25k to £30k dependent on experience.Benefits: On-site parking, Pension scheme, SAYE Share save scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, Occupational Health scheme, Private Health Care scheme, Discretionary bonus eligibility, Life Assurance, Training, Employee Assistance Programme inc Exclusive Offers- An online portal offering vouchers and discounts & 25-day Annual Leave plus Bank Hols.Are you a Human resources professional who is CIPD level 5 qualifiedIf so, we have an excellent opportunity to join an established organisation who are recruiting for an experienced HR Officer on a permanent basis.The Role Providing generalist support within a centralised HR department, servicing several regional business divisions based in the Midlands and South Wales. You must be flexible to travel to other site locations when required and take a pro-active approach in building relationships with colleagues based at those sites. The company are experiencing a period of transitional change and growth and require additional generalist support. You should have knowledge and understanding of the HR functions as you will be involved in the full employee life cycle. You will be the initial point of contact for HR advice and support to managers and teams across several busy manufacturing environments whilst reporting into the Head of People. It is important that you are confident and self-sufficient to allow the Head of People to focus on prospective change and proactive initiatives, which you will also be required to support from time to time. The company wants to modernise and improve the existing HR function and so were looking for someone with the motivation to make things happen, who can work at pace to changing priorities, someone who is a go getter, who can really drive the HR functionforward. You will need to be pro-active in the role, who will use their initiative to drive process improvements across the wider team, and someone who is happy to be involved in all aspects and duties at HR Officer Level. This is a varied and fast-paced business, so youll need to be self-motivated and able to adapt to situations that present themselves.The Ideal Candidate Will have previous experience within a similar role and full working knowledge of generalist HR. Will be qualified CIPD level 5 Will drive and have your own vehicle as you will need to travel to other site locations. Knowledge and experience handling disciplinaries, grievances, performance management processes etc. Excellent reporting, communication, and record management skills Competent with using most Microsoft Office packages Have an up to date and working knowledge of HR best practice and a thorough understanding of practical employment law A minimum of 2 years HR experience A positive, friendly, flexible, and capable manner, able to build relationships quickly Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload Previous HR generalist/HR Officer experience and a good understanding of HR issues and employment law Experience of on boarding and managing high volume recruitment. Experience of Employee Relations processes and best practice Ideally experience in a fast-paced, production environment Enjoy working with people Be patient, tactful, diplomatic, and approachable Be able to deal with and stay calm in difficult situations Have good commercial awareness Have good spoken and written communication skills Respect the importance of confidentiality Have good organising skills and be able to develop plans, policies, and forecasts Have problem solving skills to deal with disputes, grievances, and staffing problems Be able to work as part of a team Be able to work accurately, with good attention to detail The ability to work with a variety of personality types while maintaining a positive and helpful demeanour.
