Job Description

HGV Workshop Manager Our client Titan Commercial Vehicle Repair is looking for a Workshop Manager to join its relatively new team. It is essential the Workshop Manager must have experience in maintaining HGVs, trailers and Commercial vehiclesResponsibilities:

  • To manage the maintenance of vehicles maintaining a safe and efficient workshop in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality repairs
  • Contribute to keeping the workshop in a standard of hygiene and cleanliness that is compliant with health and safety legislation
  • Maintain & Audit maintenance records & ensure they are kept for a minimum of 15 months.
  • Set productivity levels to be achieved
  • Responsible for managing a team of HGV/Trailer Technicians; leading, motivating and supporting them to work to a high standard.
  • Carry out daily maintenance and safety checks on vehicles and on-board equipment, or such other checks as may be required by statute, or as instructed
  • Observe, recognise and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure
  • Do a daily stock check to account for parts carried on board and place purchase orders for stock replenishment
  • Monitor HGV Mechanic/Fitters worksheets and other records daily as required
  • Oversee vehicle scheduling.
  • Carry out such other duties as may be reasonably be associated with their position, are within their capabilities and competence and are normally carried out in the course of the Companys business
Experience:
  • Mechanic: 7 years (Min required)
  • Think on your feet attitude with the ability to use own initiative.
  • Being able to communicate effectively and liaising with site staff / managers
