Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager with anelectrical bias to work NIGHTS on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to join a well-established food processing company based in Bilston WV14 offering huge discounts in their staff shop and onsite free parking!This Engineering Manager position is a permanentrole with a salary of£46,000 per annumworking4 on/ 4 off Rotating Days and Nights (0530-1730/ 1730-0530)As Engineering Manager,you will be managing a team of 3 Engineers, reporting into the Engineering Reliability Manager onsite with the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance and operation of plant, machinery and services
  • Proficient management of staff on shift to enable production to operate within budget, to production targets and quality standards.
  • Prioritise, coordinate and control all engineering tasks, materials, and staffing on a daily basis ensuring excellent flow of information throughout the department
  • Update the planned maintenance programme, as well as recommending, supporting, and implementing initiatives to improve team performance.
  • Maximising production output thought rectifying machine faults, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement to be conducted providing corrective actions and timeframes for completion
  • Reporting on KPIs and outstanding work is crucial to deliver an effective shift.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
  • Time served engineers with strong people management
  • Previous experience as an Engineering Manager, Team Leader or Shift Leader
  • Background in thefood/ FMCG industry or similar fast paced manufacturingenvironment.
  • You will have an in depth understanding ofmechanical, electrical and logic control systems
  • Knowledge of GMP and Modern Manufacturing Techniques and computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Good IT skills are required includingExcel,
  • Possess a can do attitude, strong work ethic with energy and enthusiasm to make an impact on this busy site.
