Job Description

The main purpose of the Analyst is to support and ensure that all customer set ups are done to the requirements and requests for both new and existing customers.You will be a key member to the Implementation Team and work effectively with other Transition and Service Management Departments to meet deadlines. This role would suit a configuration analyst or third line analyst with experience of application patch management.Duties:

  • Configuration of EDM services in line with the agreed specification.
  • Producing efficient code based on technical specifications.
  • SME for fixing and improving existing softwares.
  • Tests, deployment and troubleshoots final solution setups.
  • Provide on-call support, as necessary.
  • Assists external clients in the implementation of technical systems, software, or solutions.
  • Takes ownership and management of the configuration of the in-house applications, with a detailed understanding of how the configuration support the business processes.
  • Proactively owning the resolution of technical issues and problems.
  • Evaluates client needs and be able to develop solutions that support business processes.
  • Defines and executes on delivery and implementation plans.
  • Provides training and end-user support during and after the implementation process.
  • Collaborate with other departments during the project implementation process.
  • Communicate internally to ensure tasks are on schedule and offer suggestions to mitigate risks to avoid delays.
  • Ensuring that Database updates/rollouts (MS SQL) are all done in timely manner and at a high standard.
  • Ensure that all deployments to Live systems including Out of Normal Working Hours where applicable.
  • You may be required to write and test code where appropriate.
  • You may be required to deliver a third line support for Troubleshooting/Problem solving.
  • Build strong relationships with client team members, work successfully under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, and meet client project deadlines in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc duties, in respect to the IT function as requested.
  • Raise any concerns with regards to Equal Opportunity, bullying and harassment and bribery issues.
  • Contribute to the Companies Environmental Policy by being aware of the resources required to undertake this work and making sure that resources are not wasted and are disposed of in a sustainable way.
  • Follow safe working practices and assist in the maintenance of good housekeeping standards to achieve a safe and healthy working environment.
  • To contribute to, participate in and attend appropriate meetings and training courses as required.
  • Inform, update, and escalate areas of concern to the Line Manage / Senior Line Manager.
Skills/Experience
  • Previous Solution Implementation Experience
  • Experience writing code in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and C#
  • Some experience with configuration tools. Experience with SQL queries (MS SQL) Good general IT skills.
  • Some experience with toolsets such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to trace and resolve complex problems.
  • Experience with .Net
  • Dealing with confidential and sensitive data for employees, customers, clients.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills and can adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes while ensuring objectives.
  • Strong ability to work on several projects concurrently. Troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate own activities.
  • Be driven and flexible, a good team player but must be able to work well on own initiative.
  • Ability to work in high pressure environments. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Provide feedback and on-going progress reports.
