Job Description

CNC Machine Shop ManagerWe are working with an organisation that support a broad range of Blue-Chip Engineering Industry Companies with the fast delivery of electro-mechanical safety devices.This role will have responsibility for the operation of the Machine Shop within the Manufacturing function, leading a team and ensure an efficient operation. Key Responsibilities of CNC Machine Shop Manager
  • Lead the planning and implementation of the Shop, achieving on time delivery and high quality adherence.
  • Scheduling and prioritising work to machine shop members to delivery agreed daily / weekly outputs.
  • Co-ordinate with the purchasing team for material and tool replenishment.
  • Ensure full adherence to 5S
  • Provide direction, support, training and coaching to Shop team.
CNC Machine Shop Manager Requirements
  • You will ideally hold a minimum BTec Level 3 Certificate in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • You will need to have experience of CNC machining (G-code programming, machine setting, machine operation)
  • MIG/TIG welding experience in the workplace
  • Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience of leading a team, including guiding, motivating and supporting, setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
