Job Description

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a driven and hungry Assistant Accountant for a growing tech business based in the Black Country on a permanent basis. Reporting in to the owners, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation and analysis of management information.Your responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
  • Taking full ownership for the purchase ledger - matching, batching, coding and processing all incoming invoices onto the system
  • Managing the cashbooks, reconciling the bank and allocating incoming cash
  • Chasing outstanding debt where appropriate
  • Submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Accruals & prepayments
  • Variance analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • We are seeking an all-round part-qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA), AAT qualified, Qualified by Experience or with a degree in Accountancy and Finance, who is able to roll their sleeves up and get involved with the full accounting process. Experience working with a computerised accounting package and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and vlookups) is essential.The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5pm with half an hour lunch. The role will be remote working initially with a phased return to the office in Bilston planned over the coming months as restrictions ease.
