Job Description

Manual / CNC Machinist We are seeking a dependable, innovative candidate who work confidently and independently. Using both conventional & CNC machines you should have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, statistics and algebra, excellent computer and interpersonalcommunication skills, physical stamina and a keen interest in production and processing.To be successful as a machinist you should be creative, perceptive, meticulous and an active learner. The candidate should possess exceptional critical thinking, time management and communication skills, an ability to manage complex machines and tools, anda willingness to lead by example in the workplace.Please note that if you have very little experience but want to develop you will be considered for this roleHours & Pay:40-hour week MonFri. Overtime available. £10 - £13 per hour depending on experience.Manual / CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Writing and interpreting instructions and procedures to assemble equipment and products accurately.
  • Getting information from all relevant sources.
  • Controlling machines and processes.
  • Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
  • Analysing information and finding the best solutions to problems.
  • Always maintain clear and honest communication.
  • Keeping the work environment safe.
  • Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.
Manual / CNC Machinist Requirements:
  • Certificate in machine shop technology or machine tool technology/machinist.
  • 3-4 years experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
  • Recognised apprenticeship or City & Guilds training preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Understanding of mathematics.
  • Understanding CAD drawings, symbols, & tolerances.
  • Ethical behaviour.
  • Attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Team player
