Washing of animal cages using wash machine or manual method, as directed
Cleaning and maintaining the animal rooms and associated areas to the company’s written standards
Handling animals competently with due care and in line with policy and guidelines
Regular enrichment and care for the animals
Selection of animals for routine Health Monitoring submissions
Daily feeding, watering and observation of the animals alongside routine welfare and environmental checks
Receiving and dispatching of goods into and out of the barrier, with correct use of the sterilization procedures to maintain barrier status
any plant and environment check as directed

Qualifications & Requirements

Passionate about animals and animal welfare
Experience handling animals or relevant qualification
Strong work ethic and good attention to detail
Honest and respectful, in line with our client’s core values
Organized, self-motivated and able to work to timeframes
GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications
A Drivers Licenses is required due to the facility location
