IncludingPayrollas a service (PaaS)The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity to join the Capita Resourcing HR Solutions team as aPayroll Specialist, that forms part of the wider Capita Portfolio Group.Your core responsibilities will be to aid with the design and implementation of a controland complianceaudit framework for thepayrollservice, help with the resolution of current/ legacy client technical queries and review and sign-off of on-ongoing periodicalpayrolls.Duties:Clientpayroll

  • Work in conjunction with thepayrolladvisors andoperations manager, to resolve current and legacy technical client queries
  • Work in conjunction with thepayrolladvisors and theoperations managerto review clientpayrolls, as per the agreed timetable
  • Work in conjunction with theoperations managerand project team, as technical SME, to reignite & complete ongoing customer improvementpayrollprojects that have stagnated.
  • Provide cover for short term team absence within the operations team
  • Any other reasonable duties as delegated by the Head ofPayroll/ Head of operations
Audits
  • Work in conjunction with the Head ofPayroll, to design & implement a controls/ compliance framework for use by thepayrolloperations team for the clientpayrolls.
  • Work in conjunction with theoperations manager, on the rollout and integration of the design, as part of BAU.
  • Conduct regular audits, to ensure the design is working as predicated in practise and make tweaks as necessary
  • Engage with the software development team, to investigate automated opportunities that can aid the controls process
  • Assist with any delegated responsibilities issued by the Head ofPayroll, to attain globally recognised service organisation control reports i.e. ISAE3402
  • Any other reasonable audit duties as delegated by the Head ofPayroll
RequirementsTo be considered for this role you must have:
  • A minimum of 5 years end to endpayrollexperience with strong technical competence.
  • You must be proficient with Microsoft Excel/ PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Previous experience working as part of a project is desired, but not essential.
  • You should be highly organised with the ability to work efficiently, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Previous experience of using more advancedpayrollsoftware i.e. Oracle, SAP would be helpful, but is not essential.
  • While you will be reporting directly to the Head ofPayroll, we are looking for someone to join a busy team, so we need a strong team player with excellent prioritisation skills.
  • You must be a strong written and verbal communicator.
  • Previous experience working on, or maintainingpayrollcontrols (SOX standard) desirable.
  • CIPP qualification preferred, but not essential
