Job Description

The PwC Operate Application Management Services (AMS) is looking to recruit individuals with a proven track record in Oracle Database Administration (DBA), specifically Oracle E-Business Suite and associated technology components / products, with at least 3-5 years relevant experience.You will be joining an established team of Oracle DBAs who provide support and consulting services to Oracle clients in the UK and overseas. You will be expected to be part of a 24/7 on-call rota as part of this role.You will be based in either of our UK Operate locations, with much of the work being undertaken remotely over secure network connections to client systems. As with any client-facing role you may be required to work on client sites from time to time. You will have demonstrable Oracle Applications DBA experience, preferably in a managed services provider environment, working to consistently high standards and with minimal day-to-day supervision.To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Significant Oracle DBA experience from 11g to 21c
  • Strong Oracle R12 (12.1 and 12.2) E-Business Suite experience on multiple platforms (Linux & Windows)
  • Strong Oracle WebLogic experience
  • Worked in a Managed Service capacity using ITIL best practice
  • Knowledge of Oracle RMAN and Data Guard
  • Database and Applications performance tuning knowledge
  • Excellent client facing skills and ability to liaise with clients at all levels
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with the following products/skills would be desirable:
  • Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 to 12.2 upgrades
  • Oracle IaaS / Microsoft Azure / Amazon AWS
  • Oracle Access Manager / Single Sign-On
  • Unix / Linux System Administration
