Job Description

Title: Payroll ManagerSalary: £45,000Location: Hybrid in BelfastContract: PermanentAre you an experienced payroll professional looking for a challenging and dynamic roleWe are seeking a motivated Payroll Manager to a team in Northern Ireland, overseeing payroll operations for clients across the UK and Republic of Ireland.Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments to establish timelines and ensure timely delivery of services to clients.
  • Lead project management efforts for client onboarding, including implementations, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor commercial team performance, analyzing resource utilization and striving to exceed department and firm budgets.
  • Provide support to clients and our Payroll & Employment Tax team to resolve escalated challenges satisfactorily.
  • Ensure technical guidance provided to clients is accurate and aligned with their needs.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making, including technology adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct advanced technical research and deliver insights effectively in client meetings or written form.
  • Process payrolls when necessary, ensuring tasks are completed to high standards and within deadlines.
Experience and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK and ROI payroll legislation and industry best practices is essential.
  • Expertise in technical compliance and advisory work.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong client engagement skills with experience managing client portfolios.
  • Leadership experience, including delegation and team management.
  • Networking and business development skills are highly valued.
  • Commercial acumen and market awareness.
  • Experience with Republic of Ireland payroll is advantageous but not mandatory.
