Job Description

Role Overview:Oracle Database Administrator is an intermediate level role to provide day-to-day support to the business and their database systems, prepare environment in accordance with standards, and provide on call support. There is significant interaction with Technologyteams, Operations staff, Application Support and Vendors. Responsibilities:

  • Oracle DBA responsible for activities related to the maintenance and operation of infrastructure platforms, focusing on Oracle databases.
  • Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services
  • Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service for Oracle platform
  • Provide support, trouble-shooting and performance-tuning within Oracle DB technical domain
  • Provide guidance and direction in area of Oracle infrastructure technology specialization to support platforms and sectors
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adheringto Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • Some experience in Infrastructure Technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement
  • Knowledge of Grid-Infrastructure
  • Production support experience of Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 19c including RAC and Data guard
  • Built and supported High Availability solutions, using varied technologies
  • Prior experience in migrating databases to new platforms using multiple techniques
  • Knowledge of Unix system administration relevant to Oracle database management
  • Familiar with System Reliability Engineer principles, System Reliability Engineer certified preferred
  • Familiar with Automation, Ansible Scripting Skills, Python, etc
  • Familiar with Agile Methodologies
