Job Description

Job DescriptionOffice: Belfast Department: Global Payments Team Reports to: Head of Global Payments Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

  • Monitor all payment requests made to GPT Payment mailbox
  • Assess each payment request on receipt, and prioritise accordingly, assigning tasks as appropriate to inputters in Belfast and Manila.
  • Ensure all payment transactions within business-as-usual are authorised, and within assigned payment deadlines.
  • Review of Input in Level 4 absence and during peak processing time
  • Providing support and training to the wider team, including junior team members as required. Identifying and communicating training needs to GPT Manager
  • Building proficiency in all internal software within the remit of your role
  • Effectively communicating with Client Services Teams on the progress of cross-departmental tasks.
  • Assisting Management Team in the creation and maintenance of error reports.
  • Remaining proactive in identification of areas of operational risk, proposing appropriate remedial action following identification of errors within required timeframes
  • Identifying and communicate areas of opportunity for process improvement, de-briefing to team members as required
  • Assisting with delivery actions relating to team and departmental projects.

QualificationsRequired Experience ESSENTIAL
  • Experience working in a similar payment processing environment with enforced deadlines and delivery timeframes
  • Experience coaching and supervising junior team members
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel and Word
  • A positive attitude, and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong team ethic
DESIRED
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Accounts payable / Bank payments experience
