Network Engineer – Belfast - PermanentREED Technology are delighted to partner with an educational organisation who are seeking to recruit a Network engineer to join their excellent team.The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the provision of a broad range of technical support services within the organisationThis is a fantastic opportunity to join an excellent organisation, working across multi-disciplinary teams, within both our Infrastructure and Security portfolios. You will have the opportunity to contribute to technology solution design and implementation,complex problem resolution and ongoing service enhancement in relation to the organisations entire Network technology stack, including infrastructure that spans multiple data centers, and campus LAN and WLAN environments.The role will provide experience in multiple technologies and vendor platforms including Aruba, Dell and Checkpoint, and will require competence in areas such as core and edge switch administration, wireless implementations and network management and monitoringtools.Responsibilities:• Engage with key stakeholders in relation to the design, deployment and administration of Network infrastructure solutions.• Perform implementation, maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting and continual improvement of enterprise network infrastructure.• Keep up to date with the latest network technology developments, through training or via research in order to support, maintain and enhance a multi-vendor environment.• Experience with networking concepts, protocols and technologies including TCPI/IP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, Firewalling etc.Essential Criteria• Degree or postgraduate qualification in an Information Technology, Computer Science or demonstrate appropriate level and range of professional experience• Technical knowledge of Network Technologies• Excellent knowledge of LAN and WLAN management.• A good understanding of Firewalls• A good understanding of IT Networks infrastructure.If you meet the above criteria, then I would like to hear from you asap.Please contact Niall Lennon on for a confidential discussion.
