The Role: Serves as a senior compliance risk manager for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for analyzing and aggregating compliance risk for the franchise through the applicable analytical methods and models: establishes key measurement methodsfor the assessment of Compliance Risk within the Franchise, as well as Compliance related analytics. In addition executes program management strategies for business critical projects within Compliance globally, and overseeing Compliances interaction withother businesses (i.e., Operations and Technology). Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing data, trending, and reporting of data elements for the purpose of driving greater insight within State of Compliance reporting, Compliance Assurance reviews, Business Monitoring, and other ICRM activities.
  • Managing a specialized team of Compliance professionals. Oversight for compensation, performance appraisals, staff development, training, etc
  • Articulating the compliance risk profile and compliance risk appetite within the Citi purview.
  • Identifying, measuring, and analyzing compliance risks within Citi and supporting mitigation strategies where appropriate.
  • Ensuring that all metrics and data processes are consistent with the mandate of the team, as well as risk/compliance standards.
  • Developing and refining compliance metrics reporting methodology and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the environment to mitigate potential data quality gaps and control deficiencies.
  • Presenting analytical findings, results of analyses and providing business recommendations to senior management.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adheringto Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountabilitywith those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
  • Subject matter expertise in Data Analysis, including utilizing Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Business Intelligence solutions, along with extensive advanced analytical programming techniques.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills
  • Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive.
  • Expert understanding of management information systems and related best practices and control initiatives for the provision of high quality MIS.
  • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented and organized with experience in team development, mentoring, and management/ team lead.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analytics/reporting/management information role including the utilization and development of mainstream Business Intelligence tools for data visualization (QlikView is preferred, but additional experience with Qlik Sense/Tableau/MicroStrategy/Arcadiais a plus).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization; to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level
  • Understanding of Citis products and services as well as knowledge of the various aspects of Compliance.
  • Extensive experience working with governance, risk and compliance methodologies and practices, principally focused within analytics and reporting
  • Ability to both work independently and collaborate with team members
  • Ability to interact with senior business and compliance executives
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience within Financial Services Institutions, particularly with focus on compliance elements or prior consulting firm experience.
Education:
  • Bachelors degree or similar with a analytical focus is preferred.
