Job Description

THE COMPANYWe have the pleasure of continuing to support a leading international manufacturing company who are looking to recruit Sampling Technicians on a temporary basis, to be based at their site in Belasis. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working within a highly reputable organisation.THE ROLEYou will work as a Sampling Technician, reporting to a Shift Team Leader. Your duties will include:

  • Taking regular process samples from the plant at the agreed location / frequency.
  • Using moisture measurement equipment to determine the solids content of the samples.
  • Recording the centrifuge operating parameters at the point when the process samples are taken.
  • Recording results in Statistical Process Control (SPC) control charts.
  • Communicating the results to the Fermentation Operations Team, enabling them to take the appropriate corrective action to ensure consistent quality of paste to the BF1 process.
    • YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCETo apply for this position, you should have:
  • A Degree in an Engineering, Science or Food related subject
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • The proven ability to record data accurately.
    • THE RATE OF PAYYou will receive £10.95 an hour.THE CONTRACTThis is initially a temporary contract, with 1 role lasting 4 weeks and 3 placements lasting 9 weeks.Inductions will take place on 3rd September with a start date of 7th September.You must be able to work 12 hour shifts on either days or nights, including weekend work.
