Job Description

Finance Manager - TeessideYour new role:An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join an exciting business in Teesside to join a growing finance team and take ownership of 3 European entities, all of which need processes putting in place and streamlining to ensure accurate numbersare reported and controls are in place.As the ideal candidate you play a crucial role in providing accurate financial analysis, reporting, and strategic guidance to senior management, enabling informed decision-making and driving business growth.Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
  • Conducting variance analysis to identify trends, highlight areas of concern, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, supporting the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Supporting senior management in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the companys objectives.
  • Providing financial insights and and projections to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assisting in coordinating external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior management, department heads and external partners, to provide financial guidance and support.
As the ideal candidate you will be/have:
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Experienced in management accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis and reporting.
  • Proficient in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
