Job Description

My client is looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator to join their manufacturing business located in Yate on a permanent basis.The company manufacture safety critical products, and the main function of the role of Logistics Administrator is to coordinate the transportation needs for the site externally and also internally within the business ensuring that customer requirements aremet on time.The main responsibilities within the role of Logistics Administrator are:

  • Coordinate Transportation activities with internal and external customers.
  • Manage day to day order expedite requests and establish new dates as communicated from the factories or supply planning team.
  • Understand and have a up to date knowledge around customs compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and when to use.
  • A working knowledge and adaptation surrounding airway bills, seaway bills of laden, incoterms, Letter of Credit, EUR1s and ATR1s.
  • Ensure all paperwork is filed and managed in an organized manner.
  • Manage and update company master data including commodity codes and country of origin within the regulations and customs expectations.
  • Complete material creation workflows in a timely manner
  • Responsibility for providing import and export-based customs clearances (global), where required
  • Providing fully multi-modal freight pricing and quotations for a variety of customers across varied industries. Providing support and high level of professional
Skills/Experience required for the role are:
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Knowledge of various shipping methods/import and export legislation.
  • Strong Listening and questioning technique
  • Additional Languages desirable
  • Previous use of SAP desirable
