Job Description

Planning AnalystAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Planning Analyst based in Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will earn £30,000£32,000.This position is part of the SMG IT Business Process Transformation mainly engaged on building new applications, reports, and optimising IT processes. It is also part of the SBD Production Team, mainly involved in the actual manufacture of products.The role will be based primarily in the Bedford office and travel to other group offices may be required, preferrable the Oldham office.Role Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, economics, computer science or a related field.
  • 2-3 years in a similar role preferably manufacturing sector.
  • Ability to work under tight project deadlines with good time management
  • Very good number manipulation skills and eye for details.
  • Good ability to isolate issues relating to risk, productivity and business operations while finding ways to fix them.
  • Strong familiarity with Office365 and high general computer literacy.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within and outside a team.
  • Great communicator with good writing and speaking skills.
Essential Skills-Tools & Technology
  • Scripting: DAX, Power Query.
  • Reporting Tools: Excel, Power Query, Power BI.
Desirable Skills
  • Programming: VBA, JavaScript.
  • Power Platform: Power Platform: Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps.
  • Front End Skills: JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
  • Database: SQL, MS Access.
  • UI/Wireframe design: Adobe XD, MS Visio, PowerPoint.
Role Responsibilities
  • Organize production planning, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
  • Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders
  • Use of production programs and tools to ensure in-time delivery of products.
  • Strong and advanced Excel & Data Analysis skills with proven track record in using these skills to improve planning and other business processes.
  • Good understanding of business structure, processes, and various IT tools.
  • Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, and Microsoft office knowledge.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned/required.
