Junior Software DeveloperAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Junior Software Developer. This is a flexible location and candidates could be based in the offices in Oldham, Wokingham or Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will earn £27,000 + depending onexperience.This position is part of the IT and Business Process Transformation Team mainly engaged on building new applications, reports, IT processes as well as adding features and functionality to existing business applications, developed on a variety of Microsofttechnologies. This involves design, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and support of web-based, mobile and desktop applications.The role can be based in Tindall, Bedford or Wokingham and travel to other group offices may be required.Role Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science, business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of MIS report development or data analyst, preferably with SharePoint and Power Platform development/administration and any software development experience.
• Strong familiarity with Office365 and high general computer literacy.
• Experience seeing projects through a full Application Lifecycle.
• Good planning and problem-solving skills
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.

Essential skillsTools & Technology

• Programming: VB.Net, C++, HTML, CSS, VBA, SQL, MS Access.
• Scripting: DAX, Power Query, Typescript, JS.
• Reporting Tools: Excel, Power Query, Power BI.
• M 365 Platform: MS Form, MS Teams, Outlook, and Planner.

Desirable Skills

• Web / Applications development: TypeScript, React JS, Bootstrap, ShortPoint, SPFX.
• Power Platform: Power Platform: Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, DataVerse.
• Front End Skills: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Responsive Design.
• Web Services: Leveraging Restful APIs to link with external systems.
• Back End Skills: Microservices, REST, Node.js, C#, and ASP.NET.
• Database: NoSQL (Document Database), DataVerse, MS SQL.
• UI/Wireframe design: Adobe XD, MS Visio, PowerPoint.
• M365: Adaptive Cards, Excel online Scripting.

Role Responsibilities

• In depth understanding of business structure, processes and IT tools used.
• Full Life-Cycle Software Development experience.
• Application development ideally across .Net, VBA, MS Access, and similar languages.
• Develop, maintain, and support existing MS Excel, MS Access VBA applications, and analyse and convert business requirements as needed.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain complex VBA applications with good understanding of both frontend and backend development procedures.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders through regular business partnering sessions.
• Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, and Microsoft office knowledge.
• Design and develop Office 365 applications and solutions (Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, MS Forms, MS Teams, Restful API, SharePoint Online).
• Analyse business requirements by collaborating with the stakeholders and IT Management, write briefs to define and solidify your understanding of the business problem, data usage and work processes.
• Perform software design, debug, test, train and deploy software solutions.
• Implement custom solutions that leverage various Office 365 services (Planner, Form, OneDrive).
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and guides.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned/required.
