Job Description

Growing Construction and property business based in Beckenham is looking for an experienced Financial Controller on a permanent basis working 3 days a week.This role will work closely with the Founder of the business, the commercial teams and the external accounting firm.This role is to start as soon as possible and will pay between £58k and £65k, depending on experience.Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting directly into the business owner and running the Finance operations for the business
  • Managing a small finance team on a daily basis, providing support and development plans to staff
  • Working closely with external accounting firm to produce annual statutory accounts ensuring tight deadlines are met
  • Providing monthly management reporting to business owners including commentary and recommendations
  • Managing and reporting on cash-flow of business on a regular basis with a focus on investment in growth and future projects
  • Creating financial structures for owned properties and construction projects
  • Monthly budgeting and forecasting
  • Providing in-depth commercial analysis of KPIs related to sales, new service offerings, existing departments and potential areas for growth
  • Developing systems, controls and processes to ensure finance keeps up with the growth of the business
  • Management of inter-company loans
  • Creating financial structures for owned properties and construction projects
Candidates must have / be:
  • A Qualified Accountant that is actively looking for a 3 day a week role
  • Experience working in SME businesses
  • Experience working in property or construction would be beneficial but not a necessity.
