Job Description

Serve Talent have team up with a super-slick Special Purpose Machinery manufacturer based in Beccles and theyre looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.Working in one of the most impressive engineering environments in the local region, this company mean business and theyre a great outfit to be a part of - Youll be fully immersed in the design of their innovative equipment and not only this, youll havethe opportunity to grow with the team of professionals youll be working alongside.Here is a list of some of the key responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer:

  • Working within a multi-discipline team to produce innovative design solutions.
  • Development and evolving ideas into detailed designs using 3D CAD.
  • Applying your technical knowledge to work with challenging mechanical requirements.
  • Producing detailed layouts using 2D CAD.
  • Producing comprehensive BOMs.
  • Regular meetings and communications with multiple teams in the business.
  • Compliant with all relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures.
  • Provide support to the Sales team.
  • Provide technical support during the build, testing and commissioning project phases.
  • Time management and project management.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset.
Here are some of the requirements for the position:
  • Mechanical design/engineering experience.
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Highly proficient in 3D CAD/Solidworks with experience designing for manufacture.
  • Previous experience using Solidworks PDM.
  • Strong concentration and methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent time management skills, project management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Have a passion for engineering.
