Start Date: January 2021 Pay: MPS We are seeking to appoint a part-time teacher overthree days to join our innovative and highly motivated staff from January 2021.This post is initially fixed term until July 2021 with the main focus beingtargeted catch up. This role will be varied, working with all ageswithin school, seeking to help pupils catch up and consolidate their learning.We have a supportive and enthusiastic team of school leaders, teaching staff,support staff and governors who together, are committed to moving the schoolforward on its cycle of school improvement. A good degree of initiative andcollaborative skills will be required by the successful applicant. The successful candidate will:

have qualified teacher status;

use effective behaviour strategies in and outsideof the classroom;

have high expectations of themselves and theirpupils;

make effective use of assessment for learning andhave an inclusive approach that enables children to flourish;

be able to foster positive, supportiverelationships with children, parents, staff and the wider community;

be able to work effective across the agerange.

Prior to your interview, you will be asked to workwith a group of pupils and complete an in tray exercise. Our school is committed to safeguarding andpromoting the welfare of the children. The post is subject to an enhancedDisclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service. This post is considered to be a customer-facingposition; as such it falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on EnglishLanguage requirements for public sector workers. The school, therefore, has astatutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2010 to ensure that postholders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effectiveperformance of the job requirements. This will be assessed during therecruitment/selection process and probationary stages.
