For this role I am working with a leading education establishment looking for a Capital works Project Manager to manage an upcoming group of complex Projects.In this role you will be managing key projects across our diverse estate that range from our original 1960s plan through to our £70million School of Management building which opened last year. The projects include new build 3g sports pitch, a new build residentialapartment block and also large-scale refurbs.Main duties will include:Draw on the experience of a diverse project team and lead and manage the team.Collaborate with a range of colleagues and stakeholders.Take responsibility for project performance, quality assurance and risk assessments.Developing cohesive project teams will be key to your success through the effective procurement, contracting and coordination of services either in-house or externally.The successful candidate will have a proven success in delivering multiple complex projects at the same time within a similar estate environment.Relevant qualifications such as a Chartered Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor status or sold experience either with a Contractor, Consultancy, or client sided Project Manager in New build Construction projects.An understanding of the legal and practical aspects of NEC and JCT contractsExperience procuring, contracting, and allocating / managing workloads for a mix of internal and external colleagues.Successfully led external consultants and contractors to ensure success.Further information:The salary will include a great package including. and a great work life balance, 36.5 hours work a week, with some flexible working.
