Technical Manager - Cosmetics & Personal CareSalary competitive dependent on experienceBathAre you a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Cosmetic Scientist or Technical Manager Are you looking to work for an entrepreneurial organisation who have seen exponential growth over the past couple of yearsScience Solutions are currently working in partnership with a reputable cosmetics & personal care manufacturer who are keen to recruit a Technical Manager to join their innovative team, based in Bath.The purpose of this role is to be responsible for leading and managing and developing a team of Chemists & Technicians whilst also overseeing various product ranges undergoing development. You will guide the team in creating novel formulations, keeping up to date with the latest trends and innovations of the industry.Key Duties:* Working closely with the rest of the R&D team, and other departments, to collaborate on product development and regulations, working on all new product briefs and liaise directly with customer contacts when required* To monitor and review updates to the technical processes and systems * To ensure hygiene and safety standards are always maintained within the laboratory* Organise and monitor all the required testing and communicate results to the rest of the team, maintaining accurate records * Keep up to date with your teams projects, ensuring to monitor their progress through the NPD meeting system * Work closely with the Process Chemist and Process department to ensure products are scaled up successfully, whilst ensuring to organise and oversee pilot batches and relevant factory trials* Keep abreast of new raw material launches and product formulation and market trends* Maintain a thorough knowledge of the cosmetic regulations and ensure all products are developed in line with all guidelinesKey Requirements:* Experience in a similar role within the Cosmetics & Personal Care industry is essential* A scientific degree - Chemistry or Cosmetic Science * Leadership/mentor experience is desired Required skills
