Have you ever considered teaching SEN students in a specialist school or do you already have this experience and want the next challengeIn most cases, teachers dont start in SEN schools but move from mainstream as they have the right qualities to teach pupils with additional needs. The reason why teachers love SEN is because it provides a creative and flexible curriculum that focuses notjust on academic output but on nuture and well-being.We are currently looking for part-time and full-time teachers for a specialist school near Thornbury. This school caters for children with autism (high functioning) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). You will need to be patient, empathetic,confident and firm.The class is Year 7 and 8 but students are working nearer to a primary ability meaning this is open to both primary and secondary trained teachers.In return, you will have access to lots of personal development through CPD, you will be supported throughout from by a large team and you will get lots of job satisfaction in return. Classes are small and there are lots of state of the art facilities suchas reflexology and physiotherapy rooms, a hydro/ swimming pool, forest school, sensory gym and much, much more.
