Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting new remote-based career move where you can be the Site Reliability Engineer for all our production systemsWould love to be a part of a growing, well-funded scale-upHeres a little more info on our new vacancy to add to our clients growing team. We are looking for a great Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who will be responsible for keeping all our production systems running smoothly and in line with our Service Level Agreements.Youll be a key member of the engineering and operations team working closely with our Tech Lead and Ops Lead to bring operational discipline and mature automation to their environments and codebase.About our client:They are on a mission to democratise access to the worlds best events and experiences through our B2B marketplace for tickets to live events and cultural experiences.With one API connection only, consumer brands can tap into a global supply of tickets and offer it to their customers.Theyre working with the most exciting platforms across Europe, North America, MENA and Asia and are recruiting a team of superstars to ensure we are delivering engineering excellence to their clients. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on a well-funded startup that is set to change the way we all buy tickets.About your role as their new Site Reliability Engineer:Youll focus primarily on improving the delivery of our services to their partners by improving the release management tooling and processes and automating every operational aspect of our API lifecycle.We expect their first Site Reliability Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

    • 4+ years of commercial experience working with production-grade software.
    • Were looking for someone who has set up the Site Reliability / SR functions and practices in the team - this role is less about log checking and monitoring and more about the overall setting up of SR functions.
    • This isnt a DevOps role - very much more a manual SRE role
    • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
    • Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high-level languages, preferably Python or Javascript.
    • Experience working with dynamic resource management frameworks (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn).
    • Experience with cloud-based providers such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization.
    • Proven ability to work well and thrive in working remotely.
