Job Description

SENIOR DATA ANALYSTUP TO £50,000BATH (HYBRID)OVERVIEW:Leading Telecoms provider expanding their Analytics function and bringing on a Senior Data Analyst. The company recently secured well over £100m in funding and are looking to accelerate their growth through the use of Analytics.THE ROLE:The Senior Data Analyst will have the following skills and experience:

  • Conduct deep dive analysis to investigate root causes of business challenges and come up with solutions, identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Be a subject matter expert for analytics, identifying areas of opportunity and help understanding through generating great insights and powerful recommendations.
  • Creation of customer segmentation for use in prioritising build programme, sales and marketing activity, and optimise penetration and take-up
  • Creation of a suite of clear reports and MI to enable understanding of drivers behind performance at varying stages of the life cycle, from initial planning through to churn, enabling each department to be able to self-serve insight.
  • Regularly showcase results of analysis in easily digestible formats to facilitate greater understanding from business stakeholders.
  • Deriving data models and algorithms to prioritise and align work in progress around business goals
  • Foster culture of data-driven decision making - contribute to drive towards a culture where everyone is making decisions based on data.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:The Senior Data Analyst will ideally have the following skills and experience, all are not necessary but all are beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience within analytical roles
  • Advanced data analysis skills, with a proven ability to design and deliver solutions to business challenges and requirements, implement them within the business and prove their effectiveness
  • Ability to convert complex datasets into simple and compelling insights
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
  • Vast experience creating different interactive dashboards with Data Visualisation software such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik
  • Proficiency with database query languages, such as SQL and Cypher.
  • Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL and non-relational databases such as noSQL
  • Strong understanding of statistics and statistical theory
  • Confident communicator with vast experience delivering presentations to senior stakeholders of varying technical knowledge
